CUHK-CUHK(SZ) Course/Subject Enrolment Scheme for Research Postgraduate Students

To: Research Postgraduate Students

The Education Subgroup of the Task Force on Collaboration between CUHK and CUHK(SZ) supports the captioned scheme to further deepen the collaboration in teaching and learning between the two campuses.

CUHK and CUHK(SZ) have launched a collaboration scheme for sharing research postgraduate courses. 
Interested students are advised to read the following information carefully and submit their course enrolment applications according to the procedures and deadlines specified by the CUHK(SZ).

Application procedures: 
Only students in their second year of attendance at CUHK or above are eligible.  
1. Review the CUHK(SZ) course list (login is required). 
2. Complete the Application Form (login is required). Please obtain approval from your Supervisor and Division Head (Section IV). 
3. Submit the endorsed Application Form to the Graduate School Office via your Graduate Division (the Graduate Division should send it by email to gradschool@cuhk.edu.hk) no later than 5pm on 19 May 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
4. The Graduate School Office will inform you of the application result by email by 5 June 2026.

Remarks on course and unit exemption
After completion of the course(s), you will receive an academic report for the course(s) from CUHK(SZ). 
Students who have already completed equivalent courses may apply for exemption from taking some courses and/or units by taking the following actions:

(a) Check their eligibility by reading the Policy on Course and Unit Exemptions for Postgraduate Students (available in the Postgraduate Student Handbook);
(b) Consult the Graduate Division on the possibility of granting course and unit exemptions;
(c) Complete the prescribed online application form and attach any required supporting documents for submission to the Graduate Division via CUSIS; and
(d)  Pay the required fee.

Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The decision rests with the Head of the Graduate Division and is subject to approval by the Dean of the Graduate School.
