The Hong Kong student experience proved invaluable for building professional networks. “The career fairs were particularly valuable, as they gave me the chance to meet potential employers directly,” Rosario explains. It offers several opportunities while challenging you to adapt quickly and stay competitive.”

The CUHK campus life provided the perfect environment for cultural integration. “CUHK provided a welcoming academic environment with strong support for international students,” Rosario explains. “Professors were approachable and open to questions, and the University offered guidance on cultural adaptation and professional development.”

Perhaps most valuable was gaining an Asian business perspective: “The programme opened my eyes to the Asian way of doing business, which often differs significantly from Western models,” he notes. “Studying in Hong Kong gave me a clearer understanding of the rapid economic development in Asia, its opportunities, and its challenges. This perspective has been invaluable in shaping my career, as Asia is one of the most dynamic regions in the world.”

Combined with the capstone project, these experiences forged both entrepreneurial vision and practical problem-solving skills he still relies on today.

In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, adaptability is key. “With a strong mix of theory and practice, it prepared me to face rapid changes in industries, technologies, and markets,” Rosario explains. “The exposure to case studies and real-world projects taught me how to quickly analyse new situations and craft practical solutions, which is essential in today's business environment."

The journey from classroom to career was smoothed by CUHK's comprehensive support system. “The CUHK Business School Career Development and Corporate Engagement Office provided useful resources such as CV workshops, mock interviews, and personalised career coaching,” Rosario shares. “The CUHK MSc in Management programme also connected us with alumni who shared insights into different industries.
