The Adrian Ü Hao Yin Gateway Fellowship at International House, Berkeley

The following Gateway Fellowships are reserved for graduate students (Ph.D.) only.

Eligible candidates who are accepted into UC Berkeley are nominated by academic departments. Graduate students who apply to live at International House, may also qualify and self-nominate with support of their department.

The Gateway Fellowships Program consists of a three-way agreement between the donor (IHouse), the Graduate Division and the corresponding Academic Department of the University of California at Berkeley.

Gateway Fellowship provides to the awardee who has financial need, single-occupancy room and board with cross cultural activities at International House Berkeley for one academic year, fees and tuition paid by the corresponding Academic Department, and a $5,000 stipend paid by the Graduate Division. In most cases, prospective recipients must have demonstrated financial need.

Nominations will be accepted beginning each January with a priority preference deadline of March 1. Nominations may be submitted as a rolling process through April 1 if all Gateway priority preferences have not been satisfied.
