According to the proposed date of thesis submission for oral defence

With effect from the 2021-22 academic year, the University will have three degree conferment dates in each year, i.e., 31 March, 31 July, and 15 October.

Students who submit the final thesis before the corresponding deadline below will have their graduation included in the degree conferment date concerned:

Subject to the approval of the Senate, student who submits the final version of the thesis on or before 31 August would normally have the degree conferred within the same year.

Student to check CUSIS for the applicable submission method (i.e., online or the conventional method)

Student to submit thesis to Graduate Division (for dispatch to internal examiners) and Graduate School (for dispatch to external examiner(s) where appropriate) by the proposed date of thesis submission after the external examiner(s) accept the invitation for oral defence arrangement

Graduate Division to return assessment reports to Graduate School in one week's time upon receiving assessment report(s) of external examiner(s)

Late submission of thesis would delay graduation
