As one of East Asia's major academic research libraries, the Library comprises the University Library and six other libraries.  The Library holds over 2.6 million print volumes, 4 million online books, more than 130,000 journal subscriptions and 760 databases.  It offers inspirational facilities including over 4,000 study seats across its seven libraries, a Research Common and a new Digital Scholarship Lab.

Office of Student Affairs (OSA)

To facilitate the all-round personal development and growth of students, OSA offers a wide range of services and programmes to full-time students. These include supporting student activities and student bodies, mental-wellness promotion, social and civic engagement as well as career planning and development.

Learning enhancement service and off-campus housing information are available to help non-local students to tackle adjustment issues.

Information Technology Services Centre (ITSC)

ITSC supports the one-stop university portal MyCUHK which allows personalized access to cloud email services, library services and the Chinese University Student Information System (CUSIS) for managing personal study particulars.  ITSC also provides IT facilities, on and off campus network, eLearning systems, online trainings and workshops.

Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research (CLEAR)

To advance excellence and scholarship in teaching and learning, CLEAR organizes the Improving Postgraduate Learning programme to equip postgraduate students with essential skills and knowledge for their research.

Living on Campus
Postgraduate Halls

Postgraduate Halls offer about 1,300 on-campus hostel places to students taking full-time research programmes or full-time UGC-funded taught programmes at very affordable rates.  There are rooms for single occupancy and shared accommodations.

As the hostel places are very popular, non-local students should apply for hostel places before arrival to Hong Kong.

University Health Service

The University Health Service provides on-campus medical, dental and health promotion services to full-time students. Our medical team includes eight physicians, five dental surgeons and other allied health professionals.  The health clinic is equipped with a minor operating theatre, a dispensary, a medical laboratory and a physiotherapy unit to provide primary medical and dental care services.  Medical services are generally free of charge, while the Dental Unit charges a nominal fee.
