General Information
Most graduate programmes require students to select courses for the entire academic year through CUSIS in early to mid-August annually.
Students can typically add or drop courses during the designated add/drop period for their respective programmes, usually within the first two weeks of each academic term.
Some programmes may pre-assign courses to students, and in certain cases, students may not be permitted to drop these pre-assigned courses through CUSIS.
To check if your programme requires course selection on CUSIS, visit the GSO website at https://www.gs.cuhk.edu.hk/download/2526_AddDrop.pdf (for 2025-26). You can also view your enrolment appointments at 'MyCUHK Portal > CUSIS > Manage Classes > Enrolment Dates'.
If you need to drop pre-assigned courses but cannot do so on CUSIS, please submit a completed Form CS-1 to your Graduate Division/Programme for processing.
Newly admitted students arriving or confirming registration after the add/drop period should complete an Application for Late Course Add/Drop (Form CS-2), obtain the required endorsements, and submit it to the Graduate School for processing.

Course selection announcements are published on the Graduate School website and distributed via the @Link Student Email System. Regularly check your @Link mailbox or set up email forwarding to your personal account (see FAQs - General) for instructions).
Students can view their tentative/final course registers on CUSIS.
Your course registration during the selection and add/drop periods remains tentative until approved by your Graduate Division, typically within 10 working days. Once all registrations are confirmed, announcements regarding tentative/final course registers will be posted on Announcements of the Graduate School website and sent via @Link Student Email System. Note that student enrolments in courses with waitlists are removed after each course selection exercise, including both registration and add/drop periods.
While Graduate Divisions/Programmes assist in monitoring course enrolment, students are ultimately responsible for their academic progress. Carefully review your study scheme and select courses accordingly to meet graduation requirements.
