In addition to the general requirements of the Graduate School, applicants may be invited to attend an interview if deemed necessary.
(1) Programme Streams
The Programme offers two streams:
- Mathematics Stream
- Big Data Analytics and Computations Stream
- Mathematical Modeling Stream (effective from 2027-2028 intake)
(2) Financial Aid and Scholarships
The Department of Mathematics offers a number of scholarships to outstanding students based on their academic performance in the preceding academic year. Scholarship recipients must be either full-time or part-time MSc students in Mathematics. The scholarship amounts are up to HK$50,000.
The department also offers the “Student Helpers Scheme” providing monthly financial aid of HK$7,000 to eligible local full-time MSc students. These MSc helpers assist with marking and support various departmental activities.
