Non-local students are required to provide copies of EEP/Passport, landing slip, and HKID card (for full-time non-local students only) to the Graduate School after arriving in Hong Kong.
Upon Arrival in Hong Kong
After arriving in Hong Kong, please upload the following documents to the Online Application System under the section "Upload Document to Fulfil Admission Conditions".
Step 1(a): Upload your landing slip and EEP/Passport
For verification purpose, the submitted document (landing slip and EEP/Passport) must be identical to the one stated in your application. The name on this document must also match exactly with that on your academic credentials. Any discrepancies or changes must be officially notarized (Sample).
Step 1(b): Retrieve V-code for Course Add/Drop period
If you are a full-time newly admitted students who has not yet obtained a Hong Kong Identity card (HKID), you may still obtain a V-code for course registration (during the add/drop period):
To be eligible, you must have:
uploaded the required documents listed in Step 1(a); and
fulfilled all other admission conditions with only the HKID card copy remains outstanding.
Eligible students will receive an email from ITSC containing a verification code (V-code). You can then use the V-code to create your CUHK OnePass account which allows you to log in to CUSIS and register courses during the add/drop period.
Step 2: Apply for Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID) (for full-time non-local students)
All full-time non-local students are required to apply for an HKID Card at the Hong Kong SAR Immigration Department within 30 days of arrival.
