In response to UGC’s initiative in the development of strategic alliances and deep collaboration in higher education, the Joint Centre for Advanced Study (JCAS) is a joint effort among The University of Hong Kong (HKU), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in developing greater cooperation and deeper collaboration.
The aims of JCAS are to make more efficient use of resources and to broaden the range of choices for students; provide students with access to the combined strengths of the academic staff of all three institutions; provide opportunities for greater interaction and collaboration among the staff and students of the three universities; and engage in such other jointly sponsored activities to enrich their respective programmes as may be necessary to enhance the competitiveness of research postgraduate programmes.
Research postgraduate students of the three universities.
Students who are interested to join this Scheme should approach the departments of their home institutions for course registration details.
